Does anyone have bmw part # for brigther xenon lights (99 e39 540i)? Or maybe you can suggest something else?

While on this subject, what would be my options for either making fogs xenon too, or just making the brigther?

Do you already have xenon lights? I dont think so, but if you do, you just need bulbs, which are D2S i believe. If you dont have xenon's yet, i strongly suggest not going OEM. Aftermarket solutions are just as good, and much cheaper.

shameless plug:

There's a GB on HID kits going on in the group buys section, by RMP motors. If you're interested, give them a call, their install job will be of the same quality as dealer, and will leave $$$ in your pocket.

also, if you're going non-oem, you have the option of getting a different colour HID's. Stock ones are 4300(pure white light). My hid's are 6300, which give off just the slightest tinge of blue.

as for fogs, go aftermarket HID. i think rocco's selling the kits for 290, which is a steal

Yes I already have xenons, I just want something brighter. Any idea where to get new bulbs?

I'll see for that aftermarket fogs.

Sorry, no GB on xenons for me:)

AFAIK 98 and newer 5 series had Xenons.... not the projector style in the newer ones, but they had them...

stock xenons on the E39's are 4300K which is pretty bright. I recommand getting a HID kit for you lower fogs

So HID kit for the fogs, but can I get brighter bulbs for the headlights?

You could probably go 5000K bulbs... any higher and you'd end up with bluer light, not more light...

I guess I can get those at the dealer..any part #?

While on this, are there eny bi-xenon kits for e39? Or pretty much everything stops at those 2001+ stockers w/ angel eyes (or aftermarket stuff with the same efect)?

5000K is in fact not brighter, just bluer. 4300 is the brightest you can get.

The only other option for you would be to get HID fogs.

Why do you want such bright lights? HID's aren't enough?

Bi-xenon also do not make your headlights any brighter, but rather just change your beam pattern.

if you want, i can order you 12 sets of HID's, and we can wire every single bulb on your car to xenon:D

does your car have ellipsoids or projectors (sorry, i know less about 5ers than i know about e36's, and that's saying something:D)

Ok, so what are places where I can get HID fogs? Maybe somewhere in KW..GTA..?

As for bi-xenons, I know it doesnt make lights any brighter, but I hate look of DRLs so I always turn on xenons.

propr'one, you want to turn my car into an off-road jeep wannabe?? :D

I went to the dealer and got my dad's X5's DRL's disabled. No more ugly high beams when off. :)

and even if you had Bi-Xenon's, you would still have hallogen High beams, it wouldn't change anything.

Not sure if you can do it on your car. On the newer cars, definately.
