Hey guys,

I'm looking for new wheels for my E36. Just wondering what the advantages/disadvantages of having staggered wheels is. The car is just a daily driver. Also, what is meant by offset and what other things do I need to know to ensure rims will fit my car.

Thanks.

Staggered means wider rims in the rear. This promotes understeer, and less money in your pockets as you can't rotate the tires.

Offsets depend on the series of bmw. for e36's, the offsets tha fit are between +35 and +43 I believe, and depends on rim width.

If it is for performance stay with the same tire and wheel on all four corners. If you like the look you can run wider wheels and tires in the rear but like lukeh said the car will push more in corners.
