For those of you who do not already know, 2 months ago I ordered this Porsche from Japan www.j-specimports.com

Long story short, they wern't going to deliver today from Concord, so, my dad and I said f*ck it and went and picked it up ourselves and drove it home (legally of course).

I am extremely impressed with the condition this car arrived in. No shakes or rattles on the way home. It has had a good respray and has been taken well care of.

Some pics from after it's first shower - they are shitty and on bad res, I will take it out for a good shoot after my last exam.

Sweet. Congrads on the new Ride.
Why was it ordered from Japan? Can't you get one over here? Or the US?
If it was from Japan Shouldn't the steering wheel be on the right hand side?

that car is fast, I believe 0-60 in 5.5 sec. The 944 Turbo is and has always been one my favorite cars. From the pics it looks to be in great shape. It will smoke the Volvo although the c70 cab is also nice and quick and always been fond of Volvos since their T5-R series of cars over the last decade.

How many K's on it?

Sweet car *th-up*

The car was originally sold in the US, so, left hand drive. It has 69000miles

The reason we bought it in Japan is because we got an awsome deal on it.
I havn't been able to play around with it too much, can't wait until we get it back on the road. Thanks for the compliments. The volvo is fun as well.

how did you like dealing with J-Spec?
Did they break any promise? raise prices on you? did they do all the paperwork? send you additional pics of the car before you bought?

Miguel, it was an awsome experience dealing with them. Everything went smoothly, they provided many pictures, and the price ended up being lower then their original landed estimate. Great guys to deal with.

Sheldon, I am looking forward to getting it and the deck in.

Thats awesome, glad you finally got the car. How does it pull? The turbo's are supposed to run awesome. I read somewhere that the turbo's came standard with driver AND passenger airbags? None on this car?

Anyway, a big congrats on the purchase.... car looks awesome!

Soldo - I believe airgbags came in 87, this is an 86. I havn't pushed it too hard yet as I want to make sure everything is good mechanically before I go out and break something.

Robb - I bought it in Japan because you cannot get this car in this shape with these miles for this price here, check autotrader.
