Here is the dyno I use for tuning, it's a MAHA dyno with TAT software. It's very accurate. TRD (Toyota Racing Development) uses the same system.

The dyno is at GRAF Auto. You can read a bit more about the data aquisition software I use here (http://www.tat-rd.com/dyno_htm_e/dyno_start.htm)

I'll have to ask Rudy, it's usually $100/hr but we don't do many separate runs, just use it for tuning.
I'll have an answer in a few days and post it here. It won't be the cheapest place, but the results willl be accurate. The problem with dyno days is that there's a set-up time for each car just to get it on the dyno and ready for the run. My tuning time is extra. You won't get an acurate wideband air/fuel ratio without installing the sensor ahead of the cat also. These runs would just be measuring torque and hp.

howlong does it take to do 3 runs?? maybe we can do a group buy for 2-3 hours and have each car go on for like 20min or soo???

So it's an acceleration dyno, not a loading dyno?

It has both. Normally to measure hp, we turn off the electric retarder and work that way.
The software calculates accelleration of the rollers and torque, and hp. There's nothing wrong with that method and we get very repeatable and accurate results.

For tuning, we can add the load.

i know some dynos charge per run, if you just want to get an idea on your cars potential. if they do tunning than they charge per hour.

Yes, I need two runs for now.. Just want to know if there's any change from stock to Conforti shark/Intake. Before I add the other stuff in.

I still think it's a waste to spend the time and money strapping your car down without getting an accurate A/F reading. That graph is a whole lot more useful than getting numbers that any real enthusiast knows is useless to compare to other's anyways.

True,

but you can only get an accurate a/f reading pre-cat, and that will cost much more. Even if the bung was already installed, it would add another 15 - 20 minutes to put the car on the hoist and insert the sensor in the bung.

Exactly. Which is why I think "dyno days" are pretty silly.
