hey guys, you guys think 245/55/17 would fit my e46 style 44 rims? i think its 17x8, and it would be on my e36, and my car is lowered about a inch and half. Thanx

the diameter is too big for style 44's... (profile is too high). You need 245/40/17's.

With such big wheels your speedometer will be off by over 10%. (so on the highway when your speedometer says you're going 100km/h.. you're actually going 110km/h.)

It will also change the handling characteristics of your car quite a bit, if they'll even fit in your fenders. If your car is slammed, I doubt the front tires would even fit, they won't be able to move in and out of the fender when turning.

As for width, you can mount 245's on a 17x8 rim, but anything wider wouldn't be advised.

definately not, not that im an e36 expert, but i deal with tires everyday, and the e36 is actually supposed to have 225/45/17 OR 245/40/17 (sedan/convertible too i think)
that sidewall is way too high and is gonna rub, especially now that your car is lowered

EDIT: damnit, justin beat me to it, when i posted this it didnt have a response, so if mods wanna delete this they can :-p
