My father bought that car from Chuck's Auto about 6 years ago. The original purchaser was the owner of Beach BMW (back in '94). My dad traded it at Autoforum for a Porsche C2 back in '04. Autoforum had the car for a few months, then sold it. The #1 M3 was Daytona violet with matching steering wheel and handbrake (pics below).
sidenote:We met the owner of the (#1 car) 1995 M540i which also happened to be Daytona violet.

i looked at 1 of 45 4 years ago at Erin Mills Acura (the used cars section in Erin Mills Auto Mall), its Dakar Yellow, with Motorsport Suede Seats, it had some aftermarket exhaust (i think racing dynamics), sounded sick! the sound of that car was the best thing about it, but I didn't buy it because it looked like it had been hit in the front. It wasn't a big accident repair, i just anal..... I ended up with my 98 M3, they've probably sold it by now, but maybe they'll call the guy they sold it to. Good luck.

That is to be worked out between my friend and the owner of car #1, I'm just helping a friend out, as I know the car is local to the GTA and he is not.

Thanks for the leads guys!!

Why exactly does he want #1?

I asked him the same question and he just wants it. There is no convincing him otherwise.

Heheheheh... not quite. I'm the fourth actual owner, third official and it's got less than 80,000 km on it. Hardly a whore... *shiner*

Found?

umm, a few things here guys
A) im POSITIVE this was randy's dad's car at one point, so we have the vin
B) I believe the vin's are sequential for 94 m3's (anyone care to check?)
C) If you have the vin, go to the ministry, tell them the car is for sale (LIE:D), and they will give you a UVIP. the UVIP has names of the past and current owners, as well as the adress of the current owner:)

Enough to buy TWO good U.S. Spec cars in similar condition... *mumble*

It's owned by a forum member again, yeah. ;)

A) You're right: Randy gave me some information about the car from the time his father owned it. It's pretty cool to see pictures of it from six years ago!

B) You're incorrect. It sure would have made things a lot easier, though...

C) If anyone does that and tries to take this car they'll be in for a VERY nasty surprise... *angel*

c) im gonna get a nasty surprise if i try to find out your name and address? i very, very sincerly doubt it.

this is why i tell people NOT to post their vin's anywhere, and to cover them up on the exterior of thier cars

:huh?:

No. Even Segal's car is only $39,000 + taxes. That would take me way, way longer to work to pay off. I'm thinking of cars available in the U.S. proper for around $12,500-$15,000 (USD), and I'm not counting import taxes, one way plane tickets and such. I could've easily bought a good example and a decent track car though (all in).

You'd have no trouble getting my name and address (which is one good reason I don't keep the car here). GREAT system we have here, huh?

Anyway, let's please drop the subject so we don't give some scumbags ideas and get our cars nicked.

Nice rims, by the way! Can I please have your V.I.N.?

I haven't brought it anywhere other than a Dairy Queen yet. It might've been another car, though there are only a handful of daytona violet M3s in Canada.

Someone told me you can call the ministry and inform them that the car is not for sale. They wont let anyone get a UVIP on your car until you bring the ownership in and tell them you're selling it. I've never tried, that seems a little far fetched, but with a high ticket car like yours, might be worth a shot.

Thanks for the tip! I'll be sure to keep the V.I.N. a secret, too. You're making me paranoid! :huh?:

By the way... great wheels, seriously. Are they OEM or knockoffs? I haven't seen an E36 those M5 wheels have looked good on until yours.
