I've had the sunroof lined, but I haven't bought the black plastic piece that is exposed when you put the roof into tilt position (know the one I'm talking about?)

And my friend is a BMW tech, so he's going to do the install - as I hear the sunroofs can be a biatch.

I still have to get the seal for around the sunroof (interior) in black, as well as the seals for around the windows.

Yep, I know the plastic piece you're talking about.. it's actually not that difficult to change that plastic trim, as it's on the bottom of the sunroof panel itself.. it's not separate. So you don't really have to dismantle your sunroof, just remote the sunroof panel, swap the plastic piece (or plastic dye it), and bolt the panel back on. 3 nuts, 2 screws is all.

I didn't have to do the lining around the windows.. ?... The rubber door seal is there... I guess sedan's don't have them.

That's easy to say when you have a coupe... try finding the black liner for a sedan. *mumble*

true... i searched for a long time when i had my sedan... it was like finding a dinosaur, a unicorn, Jesus, or a virgin... they just don't exist.

Where did you get the suede from and how much did it run you per yard?

J - Look at the right side of the first pic. See how the trim around the window is still grey... I want to get that in black.

Miguel - So I'm not the only one that can't find a virgin?

Cost: It cost me $30/yard x 8 yards with no cost for the labour.

I also got the shift boot and ebrake boot done, but I think I'm going to have him redo them because he didn't do the double stitching...

lookin good. im guessing its just the lighting (with the flash) that makes it look grey.

oh, and you two clearly aren't looking hard enough for virgins. c'mon they do exist, they just don't want to give it up to any of us.
