I was aware of the depo headlights and the suspension group buys, However, i did not have the money at the time to join. Can we start these again at least the ones that people are interested in. The depo headlights, H&R springs and Bilestin shocks, and also m3 mouldings. It is just before summer and i think that people would be interested.

any opinions...

Group buys can only be organized with maXbimmer.com sponsors, just so you know.

For the Bilstein/H&R Group Buy, contact CRuark@greatlakesautosupply.com and see if he'll do the same pricing as before. He said the timing was pretty loose, so I assume he will...

I understand the reasoning behind this, but I checked with current sponsors for the above mentioned groupbuy and none of them could compete. We should continue to support sponsors, but perhaps there needs to be pressure applied to them to maintain competitive pricing... For alot of us, price is the main factor when purchasing equipment for our cars.

What it should be, is group buy interest is first tendered here. Then the Maxsponsors are notified and they get "first bids" at sponsoring the buy. If the Maxsponsors can't produce a satisfactory bid or don't want to bid, the group buy goes elsewhere. That's the way it works in the real world.

We cannot pressure our sponsors to change their pricing. The "pressure" would be a competitive group buy, of which we will not allow to be hosted or in any way affiliated with maXbimmer.

Sorry.

Either way group buy prices are way better than any other store etc. I suggest that the person who started the Shocks/springs group buy to start it again and see if there is at least 10 people that are intersted.
