I took advantage of the nice weather today and got a couple pics of the new mouldings. I've decided to leave them black (the previous trim was painted red) and I think it works well. I'm also thinking of painting (or partly painting) the hood/trunk but I'm not sure.

looks good... *th-up*

although...i think your car would look better if you painted the top half of the car black. instead of just the hood, roof and trunk...

have the black start at the first line, by the door handle..

thanks. Yeah, I'm not sure about the paint. I've had a couple people try to photoshop it but it never seems to look that great.

Nah, I think you should leave it the way it is...

Paint the parts black that could be black (in stock form). Like mirrors, door handles, and lip/splitter on lip..

Maybe, get your BBS painted gunmetal, and have a red lip around the edge?

Nice, car looks real hot!!

Glad you kept the moldings black, not a huge fan of body colored moldings!

hmmm... not as bad as i thought.. do just the rims and the lip... that would probably look good..*th-up*

I see where you are going but I don't think I could bring myself to paint the rims :) with this colour. If the car was black then I would go with the stealth look and paint them black and smoke the lights (love blacked-out E36's). I like the ideas though!

thanks. Yeah, I have smoked corners that look awesome but I broke the clip on one of them (cheap lights).

it would work for black and white, but when its red and black, it's weird looking

yeah, it's a special order tint (for residence use I think). It has a slight red hue to it but not like the Canadian Tire sparkle crap :)

Dont knock it unit you see it in person :p

I swear, it looks amazing, theres a '97 civic coupe with that color scheme, its so simple, yet clean. And it only works well on red really, Silver could probably pull it off nice too.

I agree though, painting those rims could probably make you cringe. I suppose with a different rim decision like Kosei K1's, it would be a better idea.

BTW, good job on not doing the double color scheme, I don't like it either..

did this very quick on MS paint...a red stripe around the rim (not the whole lip red) on the silver wheel.

Thanks for the great feedback guys.

If I was going to do this I like the black wheel better. The red on silver is a little wierd; but, thanks for the pic. I like the ideas.

Yeah, I got from Eurostyle in Mississagua. He makes a good product, offers a good deal and he is a great guy. It's fibreglass so you'll need to take it easy; however, I have scraped the road a couple times and you would never know (unless you look under the car :P ).

hmmm, sounds kinda cool. I've seen it done black and blue but not red. I was going to go smoked again but this is something to think about. Thanks!

haha! that's different! It reminds me of a shoe design :D This would look good if I was to go crazy with the car and get a huge widebody set-up and do the show scene.
