Every beautiful dry day I cringe because I know I could have driven for more than 2 weeks now with my summer rims/tires!!!

Anyone actually put them on yet?

Every dry day like this I get more and more tempted! I'm starting to get this attitude that I'll put them on and if it snows, then **** it, I just won’t go to school, I work less than a half a KM away from home, I would be able to make it!!*uzi*

Wish I could the same for Ottawa..here it's starting to be winter, very cold days with snow and freezing rain and crap like that.....looks like summer rims will be on in the middle of April for me...

I've mounted the front lip and am seriously considering slamming the coilovers again. Still fear one more snowstorm though, so the tires stay.

Theres at least one more GOOD snowfall before the rims get slapped up.... keep it in your pants until then!

I change usually when the temp hits +10, because at that point supposidely, snow tires will get too soft, overheat and wear prematurely

Even though there is no snow down there I would avoid putting the summers on just due to the salt and sand on the roads and highways.

Summer rims are one thing.. but summer tires in this cold weather I can't justify.

I've had mine on for 2 weeks and yes I've been stuck driving 40km on the highway a couple of times...lol. The last week has been smooth sailing though *th-up*

Woow Hooo!!!
Put on new Michelin PS2s today!
Still a little greasy because of the cold and being a new tire but I was sick of chewing up my snows on all this dry pavement.

Besides if it snows again, I have 2 other vehicles to drive.

^Hey david do you live around the Mavis area? I see a nicely droped M5 around all the time with racing dynamics rims.

I'm at Erin Mills & Eglington but do go around Mavis near Heartland alot.
Yes my beast is dropped! The summer tires actually tuck in below the fender lip.
I just put back my 19" SSR GT3 rims so the RD rims are back in storage for another year.

Yes there's one thing about the 'M' brotherhood, we start noticing other M cars!!
I think I've seen your car around.

We should have a meet soon.

I'm putting mine on March 25th 2005... car is getting polyurethene control arm bushings while i'm at it... AND slamming it to the floor, also tints and angel eyes ... all on the 25th,

if it snows again, i'll just keep it in the garage and take the TTC to work

even if there is one more snowstorm, the snow won't last more than two , maximum 3 days,

if so, just park it.

I feel super ripped off, spend $200 on new coilover rings, $200 on having all 4 shocks taken off the car and cleaned... another $500 on winter tires...

and we've had maybe 6 or 7 days of real snow all year.

I need to find some centering rings, and then I'm putting the summers on.

I'm going to wait until any traces of salt have been washed away by the rain...

Ya aren't those considered all seasons? I see the four little pictures of the different seasons on them......

Ahh well, yesterday it snowed a bit and the snow didn't last until I was really to leave for school.

I'm pretty sure those are Contisport Contacts, and they are extremely dangerous in the snow. I watched my dad get stuck in 2" of snow when we first got the E46 with them, it was hilarious. He wasn't actually going anywhere of course, we were just really curious if the car could even move with them on.

I almost wanted to shot myself this past weekend when it was 10+ degrees. Went to my GFs place in woodbridge(requires me taking the 400 north from 401 to 7. When I got to her place, I could smell rubber!!!! My car is in the garage during the week and only comes out on weekends so I will TRY and wait until beginning of april. :(
