is trip planning always done with PC and then transfer to Garmin? is the memory big enough to load up all the east coast? or ontario only?

Dude, why whould you want a map of the east coast... Dont you have the standard male good sence of direction. I just came from Toronto to halifax with no maps what so ever... not a single problem. And the east coast is super easy to get arround. What are you going to try next... stopping to ask for directions?

You can plan the trip on the garmin.. With Waypoint it's just major highway of north america so you can set your trip from quebec to boston if you want.. But for Canada.. which is in the MapSource CD it's more precise then the waypoint manager so you can drill in the city streets too.

If you do your trip planning in the computer you don't need to upload the maps to the GPS since you have all the maps in the PC.. Also, the maps has comes with sizes so you have to fit the maps to the GPS's 24MB built-in memory.
