i think the z24 is 145 0r 150 stock hp so basically it will give a honda a good run but against a bmw well lets just say he will know which model just beat him when he reads the badging from the back

you know what they are pretty slow, but i cant say that slow...

like in first u feel it go but 3rd is most usless gear =)

4th can pick up still.
and about beating a civic i dunno i dont race

I dunno about your Z22 but the Z24's are OK. I've raced a few and beat them everytime, but up to 100km/h there isn't much in it. I can pull them about 1-2 car spaces at 100km/h in my STOCK 318. Now, I'd probably smoke them silly.. haha

The cavaliers aren't too bad of a car
my dad's gf used to have a sunfire 4banger with 5spd and i got to drive it a few times. (they're basically the same car as the cavalier)It was pretty peppy for a 4banger, and the transmission was very smooth, but it just didn't do it for me. I almost bought it at the time though because it was selling for a very good price and I couldn't afford a bimmer then.
I'd say they're nice inexpensive daily drivers.

I believe the Z24 run's 0-100 in 8.0 seconds.. not too shabby. The clutch felt real mushy but gear changes were a snap, very light and easy gear changes. Anyways, pretty good car for the price.

Those cars(and basicaly all american low level cars) lose their value faster than E46 M3 on a 1/4 mile track:P
