1997 BMW 328is - #91 JL Racing

Originally prepared by Franz Blam racing in 1997 to run in Motorola Cup and Speedvision Cup, Franz Blam Racing and Mike Fitzgerald went on to win the 1998 Motorola Cup Championship. The car was then stored for a number of years and was resurrected by JL Racing in 2001 and updated to Grand Am Cup specification. The car was featured on the cover of Roundel magazine in April 2002, after a 7th place finish (field of 29 cars) at Daytona. The car has been run since that time in the Ontario region, this year finishing 2nd overall in the Ontario Touring GT Series. The car has no DNF's in the time that JL Racing has run the car, and was the only car in 2005 to complete every track session in the Touring GT series.

The car is well sorted and easy to drive, making it an excellent track car for everyone from a novice driver right up to experienced professionals. Last season, the car ran 1:36 at Mosport and 1:17 at Shannonville prepared to the 2005 Touring GT regs (heavy!).
