where have you seen one for 10k less with this same package and km noted?
I'm in Ontario and I've looked through autotrader and have not seen a decent 540i for less than 35k ( most if not all were auto, and none m-packaged nor with winter rims and tires)

I sold mine with nearly the same K's, same pkg, except I had 17" sport rims, 6-speed true M-sport. It was an awesome car, and I regret getting rid of it.

I sold it for around that last year, AND I'm contemplating buying another. You may want to have it appraised if you think you'll get $40K. My car was a certified series car. I had 16" winter rims and tires with it as well. IT TOOK A LONG TIME TO GET RID OF. There are too many E39 540's out there available for sale.

5-er's are dropping in price at a phenomenal rate. I think you'll have a hard time getting $30K-$32K. You might want to trade it in as some BMW dealers are known to pay well for low-K BMW trade ins that they can certify and sell as certified series cars...

If you get $40K for that car, I have a salesperson job for you at my company (and I'm not joking).

Regardless, good luck with the sale. Bump for one awesome car.
