It's an ultra light - find that with Dell piece of garbage. Dell's total shite... No research of their own, just bitting others technology... Not even well at that! they are still 100% plastic notebooks!

Bump for a QUALITY notebook - and a decent price for it too!

BTW: IBM basis warranty off of the serial, not the receipt... I can check the serial if you want me too...

Just a bump for a nice laptop as I have. I don't understand why idiots ruin other people's threads. This price is amazing as well as I spent a lot more for mine.

I have IBM desk top as well. Do I think it is worth 2x other desk tops? No
Also own 2 Dell desktops which just won't quit. 1 is a pentium 2 still in use.
Sorry to ruffle your feathers. Good luck on sale.

You don't - but there are millions of other CORPORATE customers that think the world of IBM. How do I know? I sell over $1.5 Million annually of IBM. The company I work for does over $50 Million annually in it and we aren't even a big IBM reseller!

Again, this is a brand new, unused laptop, out of the box.

does the laptop come with the 4 or 8 cell battery?

Deep 3.2TL

Standard config for this system came with the 8 cell battery... unless it's been changed by Justin, it should be an 8 cell...

If by boat anchor, you mean feather, then i agree.. :rolleyes:

T43 = 1.2" thick, 4.5lbs.

X41 = under an inch think, 2.7lbs.

Dude - have you even seen an X Series? It's WAY lighter then a T series... Even with the optional dock attached, it'll weigh as much as a T series...

If you put that model number into the search bar on IBM.com the first hit you'll get is the support page. That's where it comes from...

$1049 isn't bad for those specs...

Ya the only thing is that the warranties are usually quite short with the refurb units. Max 6 months...

Still wrapped in the original packaging and unused.

Price dropped to $1075 for a new laptop. (remember it includes the optional optical drive too, which alone costs $200 from IBM)

Damn, i've been thinking about getting rid of my T41 and using that money to buy an X-series

too bad all I have done is think...this seems like a great deal...interested in a trade?

I bought my T on this board not too long ago from another great seller and it is still under warranty.

Let me know if you are willing to do a swap? i would be interested as I got a T-series from work and would rather have an X for my own personal computer

Another option is to lower the price enough for me to take it off your hands before I sell the T ;-)

Cheers,
Otto

And the fact that it's $900 US... Factor that all in and you then pay MINIMUM $1150 CDN, it'll be more like $1250 CDN...

If I get rid of my laptop in time, I might take it off you... Heck - I can't even buy one at this price from my company!

Otto... sorry I can't trade, I have two other laptops already.

LDNA... I can't let it go any cheaper, I'm already taking a huge loss on it. It's not a refurb, it's original. Also remember that this laptop comes with the optional optical drive which is another $200 USD from IBM.

Thanks for all the clarification Deep & Mirek.. much appreciated.
