ok, im an idiot when it comes to this stuff - but my oem tape deck has a tab on each side. Flipping the cover back reveals a hex screw(allankey like), one on each side.
Are these used to remove the deck? Do you need a special tool? If not, how do you remove the oem deck?

and totally off topic - how do you install those chrome guage rings on the speedometer?

The correct, I used a alenkey loosen the nuts, and once loose, I put my hand in the tape deck to pull it out.

you're supposed to use a special tool, but it is not necessary.. you can loosen them with an allenkey if you tap them in gently first. those screws are not in very tight.

to install the chrome gauge rings you'll need to remove your gauge cluster, then remove the plastic cover over the cluster. Install them, then put it back together. Not very difficult to do.. just be careful taking the plastic cover off that you don't break it. (don't force it).
