ok - this time it's the M Contour rims from an E36 M3. Will they fit a 96 318is?

I think if they're NOT staggered (rears wider then fronts) it should fit.

hmm maybe even staggered would fit?

Yup...they'll fit. E36 to E36. No problem. Staggered even. Double check on the offset. Are they OEM Contours?

so how come the Mz3 rear rims don't fit? Some one told me that because they are 9" in the rear, they would be too wide for the E36 chassis. These M3 Contour's are 8.5" in the rear. Wouldn't it cause the same problem??

The Z series cars are different, they have a MUCH wider booty...... hence the ability for the 9" rears, and i believe the offset on those wheels are much different as well!!!
