The rubber gasket between my side skirt and door is starting to wrinkle alot. Has this ever happened to anyone? I think it's #4 in the pic. Is this easy to replace? Why would this happen in the first place?

that gasket shouldn't even be visible to you & it's attached to the Rocker/body of the car under the door.

is your rocker rusted to shyte?

Adam we don't have side skirts on our cars, if he were to remove it entirely it would look like ours, all steel.
Geussing his car was came with the "M Pakage" or previous owner installed an aftermarket side skirt.

Nope, I don't have the M-package and it's not an aftermarket kit.
My mom's 328 is like this as well.

Regardless you have to unbolt it and replace the seal, or leave it off.

Hey the M3 skirts on my other car did a similar thing. When I had the car painted they took out that rubber seal, and reinstalled the skirts without one. Just In case ur thinking of doing this (just removing rubber seal thing), I'd forget it, it doesnt look very good.
