View Full Version : Brake lights don't work

My car's brake light all of a sudden does not work, the car has been sitting for awhile since winter and today I notice the brake light does not work when I brake. All of them don't work, the 2 rear and the center one at the back window. I looked at the bulb and one is blown but the other is fine. Is it possible a fuse blown? Where is the fuse box and what fuse to change? Need some help ASAP. Thanks.

Could be a blown fuse... but there are two fuses that control the brake lights.

Pop your hood. There is a black box on the driver's side, very back of the engine compartment. Pop the lid off. The fuse numbers are under the lid, there may be more than one for the brake lights. Both fuses may be blown?

Take a look, if not then a line is cut somewhere.

could be the brake switch

could be the brake switch

where is the brake switch?

The brake light was working before winter started so I don't see how a line may be cut somehow.
