Haven't posted here in quite a while but finally got a chance to
take some decent photos of my e30.
They came out a little dark and I didn't have a tripod but I tried...
the only thing new is the mtech 1 wing, thanks for looking.

Thanks, I recently installed KW 60/40's with supersport24 spring cups
to get the front end just right. I just can't find the right replacements
for the cr7's, I almost bought some RM's but they looked too small.

I had beat fogs and wanted to try the fog blank look, cheap and different
alternative than $200 fog lights. Prolly go back to fogs, the money can be spent elswhere first though.

is the interior just as clean as the car?
When I bought the car the first thing I noticed was how clean the
interior was, it was in better shape than the outside, the only thing I have left to work on is the trunk, engine bay is almost done.

Honestly that's pretty much all an e30 needs to look good, granted
it has to have just the right amount of drop and the right wheels but that's about it, thanks for the comments.

They're holdong up fine, the roads in my area are flat and smooth, my commute to work is 10mins each way. I'm running bottlecaps and winter tires right now, the Cr7's don't see any snow or salt.

Did the same place also roll your fenders? I am planning on putting some BBS RS 16x8 et 15 on my car and I need to find a really good shop that won't F#$% it up. I am from Toronto so not that far from Jersey.

No problem, that's what these forums are for, I didn't have any body work done, the PO painted it, by no means show quality but it cleans up nicely. I want to do new panels and respray but I don't have the time or money for that right now. The bodyshop behind the dealer I work for painted the "iS" lip, mirrors, mtech1, etc..., Freedman tire in Edison, NJ rolled the fenders, they let the car warm up inside, heated up the paint and used a roller, came out good, no cracks or damage. Rs's are going to be nice, I might sell my wheels to get a nice set of 15x8 bbs rm's.

16x8" RS' should technically be ET13.

16x8" RS' should technically be ET13.

What offset is ideal for 16x7.5's? I have an opportunity to go staggered,
7.5's et20 up front.

Mystikal
01-11-2006, 12:09 AM
ET23 is about ideal. So yeah, those are perfect.

Your car will look a lot better with 7.5" up front and no spacers in the rear.

And if you go through with it, you can run 225's up front and 245's in the rear without the spacers. Huge improvement over the little tires on there now.

And if you go through with it, you can run 225's up front and 245's in the rear without the spacers. Huge improvement over the little tires on there now.

That would look mean with some 245's on the back. There is definitely ample room without spacers in the rear. 225/45/16's and 245/40/16's?

Mystikal
01-12-2006, 12:36 PM
245/40/16 is theoretically perfect, but you'd have to source the tires from Europe or Japan; that size doesn't exist in North American catalogues.

225/45/16 and 245/45/16 will work fine.

Really? I've haven't seen anyone with an e30 run that size before. When I had 15's I ran 225/50/15's though, most of the time I see 225/45/16's.

Ed, I think Tom just means that in general 225/50/16 is a very popular tire size on many cars, not just the E30.

I run 225/45/16 all around, FWIW. If I had the torque you and Jordo are pushing, I'd go staggered though.

Gotcha, I would like to run 225/45's all around for my next set if I don't

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. I really want a nice 15" that's light, fits perfect, and is cheap, but I'm afraid that's not going to be possible. I'm looking at Rota's right now, 15x7, 13 lbs, ET40. And cheap ($600 for new, Honda guys sell them all the time for $500 with tires).
