2k2 z3 six banger brought over from Michigan, the clears come factory, I did the 5% tint, rims, chrome tips, and plate holder :) , actually that came off my old car.....

Revshot, I don't want to overdue it, i did that to my last car, I just wanted a car that was tastefully done ... with a lil bit of power, read the first post.....I just wanted to do a FEW ADJUSTMENTS, to suit me.

Rodo, I honestly don't wanna lie to you, I bought it at Bavarian Auto in Shelby Twnship, Michigan, so with warr. plus taxes, importation and extras. with rims and stuff. i'd say all said and done about 35/40.

Looks good Greg, don't think it needs to be lowered, it site perfect. The "limo" tint looks really good too (Mississauga heat-score). I agree with Justin, blacking out the kidney's would give it that final touch.

On e36, its either no dish at all (BBS CH, MVR Magnum, Type I, II one peace) or step dish. At least thats my opinion.

Anyway Greg, it looks really nice and clean.

actualy i stopped by to ask you about springs...

It was a fluke that i got those rims, I joined BMW Club of America, Michigan Chapter a while ago, been to a few get-togethers, Lot of rich guys, older guy bought a M3 with these rims on there, put on brand new tires, but he really didn't like them....so I asked him about it, he was more then happy to get rid of them, I just paid him the amount he paid for the tires (700) and he was more then happy to let them go.

so a set of hamann's with new rubber for 700, I really didn't care if you have them or not.

Really, wow... you need to do more research on E36's buddy. A 3" dish will fit in there perfect (9.5" wheel) without going crazy "euro". Isn't that deep enough?

On e36, its either no dish at all (BBS CH, MVR Magnum, Type I, II one peace) or step dish. At least thats my opinion.

If you're paying for new HRE wheels, why not ask them to make you a custom wheel with a flat dish? I know for a fact you can fit a 9.5" wide, 3" dish wheel on a 4-door E36.

Greg, your a skank. Is that why you stopped by the other day? You wanted to show me that you bought the exact rims as me?

I wish I talked to you before I bought my rims then... I was under the same impression as Vlad... and I wanted a nice lip with some wheel tuck on the back... so I went with a step-dish style with a 3" lip. 9.5" is pretty damn wide though, what size tires would go on that?

I think you should do more reaserch Randy, not me.
I've done it before.

Here is the deal. When I ordered rims, I ordered them so they are BBK friendly, front and rear. If I go with slightly deeper dish, I won't be able to have BBK.

Here is the car with the same rims as mine, but flat dish.
To me, they look very plain and boring.
And yes, I dont think this is deep dish enough.

First of all, you never said in your original post anything about BBK compliant... so be more clear. Secondly, the pic above shows how much clearance is still avail between the fender and the wheel... that black 4-door E36 can easily have a 1" wider wheel back there (giving it a larger dish).

P.S. I think the flat dish looks a lot better than step (just MO)

P.P.S. Shut up Greg, that's enough attention for you! *wave*

Mystikal
11-23-2005, 06:38 PM
You can fit 9.5" of wheel under the arches, sure. But you can't fit 9.5" of tire.

And that makes it Euro, which isn't what Vlad is talking about. Vlad has real tires, you can't get 9.5" wheels with 3" of lip with the 285's they deserve, which is the point.

Okay, so it is possible then? But fender work would be needed to fit the wider tires back there too then?

By the way, I don't think there is anyone that prefers step dish over flat dish... but cheap people like me try to find a compromise (http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=55393&stc=1&d=1132801748). Vlad's rims would look nice with a lip on there though.

I definitly prefer step dish over small or fake dish.

But if I had one of these, I would definitly go for deep dish
