Guys,
I think I need to realign my wheels , does anyone know of a good place with knowledgeble techs who can do their magic and reduce the tire wear etc...

another question is - where do I buy a good torque wrench so that I can change the spark plugs myself.

thx

woodbridge alignment doesn't use lasers. They also charged me for my rear alignment when my car doesn't have adjustments for the rear.

Never going there again.

I wasn't that impressed with woodbridge alignment either

Derrick recomended a place called Fiorano at Langstaff and 400(beside/behind the sunoco) They do all kinds of exotics ferrari's porsche race cars etc. I talked to the owner Courtney and he seem to be very knowledgable. Maybe give tem a try.

I got mine from sears. I have a craftsman one and i think it retails for about $99.99. Whatever you do dont cheap out on the 25-40 dollar ones. Buy it once but right. Sears (promenade is where I got mine) sometimes has open tool sales, so maybe go check it out.

Canadian tire also has them for about 100 bucks

Woodbridge alignment completely messed up my alignment, like they were off by a lot on the rear (-2.5 degrees camber on the right rear and -3 on the left...big difference), the coated my steering wheel, shifter, seat, and carpet near the accelerator with air compressor oil. And managed to get super thick oil all over my rear wheels and rotors by using air tools on the camber and toe adjustments instead of a torque wrench. They heated up my tie rods and didn't even wait for them to cool before finalizing the alignment, etc, etc, etc.

Go to Bavarian Motors in Markham.

That would be for a corner weighted alignment.
Initially, when I had my Ground Control coilovers installed, the shop (don't want to mention names) that installed it and did the subsequent alignment did not know what the heck they were doing.
Drove like that for a few months before bringing it to Engineered to get it corrected.
Worth every penny to me.

Don't forget it was corner weighted which is more time consuming compared to a regular alignment.
I track my car and wanted to deal with a shop that knows what the heck they are doing and understands what the customer wants.
Even though a BMW dealer would have done an alignment, they would not have been able to set up my M5 for the track.

Best place for techs...

Mississauga Auto Centre
905 823 5535
1800 Lakeshore road west

They use laser alignment at a great price, These guys are amazing, always helpfull. For a solid torch wrench i would get a Snap-on , it has a life gaurentee and comon, its the best make for tools there is. If you go to Mississauga Auto Centre they can help u with that too, i needed a nice wrench set and when the Snap on truck came by to sell tools to the mechanics who worked there, they called me and asked if i wanted a set at WHOLESALE, so theyre a great bunch of guy , highly recommended!
