Those are stock 96/99 328/M3 headers, just polished. Yes, the stock headers are SS.

Not much in the way of gains, although people say they feel it, I have a hard time beliving you can feel 2-3hp. It is lighter though compared to the 91-95 stock cast manifolds.

Who would i call top book some dyno time ?

Are there many place in the GTA to get this done ?

I would like to dyno it before i start any major mods...sounds like a plan !

SSautochrome doesn't do that great of a job in welding, few people on the Volvo board use their manifold, and they all report chunks of weld flew out of their downpipe from the manifold.

Well then, he doesn't need to worry about SSautochromes welding in this case because they're welded by BMW, probably about 8 years ago. I'm willing to bet they're reconditioned and polished used OEM headers, not new and polished OEM headers. Noticed how I keep saying they're OEM headers??? Nobody will ever dyno the claimed 15-30hp gain.

Plus I don't know if you've ever removed headers from your engine, but it really sucks. The engine is tilted toward the shock tower, making it a PITA to get a wrench in there.

pure BS, those look stock or there replica stock that have been polishes,

any REAL header would not have such small primaries and have them join up in such a sharp manner

they look like cheap OEM style headers that WILL NOT give u 15-30HP hahahah such BS

ive never seen any more then 15HP gain on a car and thats which a supercharger

I just emailed him:
"I have a 97 BMW 328, these headers will just replace the factory manifolds and bolt right up? How are these different from the OEM manifold. The gains you show on that dyno plot, is that for the 325 or 328? Also, incase I choose not to use these once I buy them, will they fit the 95-98 M3??
Thank you and sorry for all the questions."

I ask these questions for a few reasons. 325 headers are not the same as 328 headers (no air injection port on 325/3L M3 headers). Also, 325 and 3L M3 headers are identical, so are 328 and 3.2L M3 headers.

I hope he replies. I was looking at his feedback, he seems to not like responding to people who he's ripped off.

328/M3 headers flow better than 325 OBDI headers and are a good cheap mod that bolts right on. You can get real OE used ones for 50-75 USD.

I don't really agree with that. I've seen them side by side, not much difference flow wise (visually) at the ports. Neither are equal length, again the m52 manifolds are lighter though. Someone on BF.c had dyno tested M52 manifold on a 3L m3 and it was like a 3hp gain. Not really something noticable, especially not worth the trouble to swap (in my opinion). The fan delete mod is cheaper, easier, and has more gains. :moon:

My 2 cents.

As a note, for the m52 headers to work on m50's properly, you need to fill in the air injection channel where it bolts onto the head.

Thats where I read it too... on BF.c and it was a bigger gain than that. More like 10-15 crank hp or 8-10 whp...

the 96+ ones are SS and tubular hence they also flow better... however most importantly they are about 10lbs less ;)

From what I found on BF.c (325 specific):

What about using these OBX headers from ebay ?
Im sure AA headers or supersprint are the best choice but im just wondering if the extra cash for them are really worth it ? HP to $$$

Your best bet for a value header are the shorty type headers. They give you the bottom end torque and the SC will give you the top end.
