depends... what kind of e36? do you ever throw your car on the track? how hard do you drive? any engine mods?

i've got uuc 8.5 lb flywheel with m5 clutch. It's a nice set up and it seems to be durable.

If your car is stock and you don't have any insane engine mods, then just go stock. Stock e36 clutches are actually very strong.

sachs, "sport" clutch is what i got, recently.
Im happy it's just a bit above stock & Turbo Vw's seem to be ok below 300hp on them

Pelican parts.com has insane pricing on a full clutch kits.

If you want to spend extra, get a lightweight fly wheel:
removes 15-20 pounds of rotating mass, revs quicker, goes quicker
or so i keep reading. :(
