Hi all,
I have had my brake pads changed all around and even the sensors. The Check Brake Linings still come on. We have checked the sensors again and they are not broken or anything. Does anyone have or had the same problem and a solution.
Thanks

unplug the brake pad sensors, get a multimeter and run a resistance test on them, that'll rule out for sure they're working.

Or unplug the sensors and jump the plug end that goes into the car with a paperclip. If the light goes away, then it's a faulty sensor.

was the light still there when you jumped the pins with a piece or wire or paperclip as thinair suggested?

fuses ok? ... blown fuse also creates a broken circuit. if it is then the wire must be damaged somewhere.

The check brake linings light came on and then I replaced all the pads and sensors. The darn thing didnt go off so we tried to jump with the wire, still nothing. I will check broken fuse. I will try to see if the wire is damaged. Thanks for the advice Justin :)

Seems like lots of fellow maxbimmer members are having the same problem. HELP :) what a pain in the rear.

Try that, from what I read: later models have brake lining reset, which involves turning ign. key all the way just short of start and leave it there for over two min. then shut off and restart.
