Did you pay any customs or taxes when the headlight bulbs came to your house?

MV325IS
10-29-2005, 11:23 AM
No Customs duty or taxes at all...just the bulbs :)

normaly i dont care what people do with thier cars, im all for originality but the tail lights as others said have to go, thats a given, and second i cannot belived you payed $220 on light bulbs alone.... thats just insane, unless your buying HID thats just a rip off dude. spend more wisely save your money for good things.

Well...its like anything...you learn as you go...im new to all this so i have to rely on advice from others.

Its only money !!

Here is what the car looks like with the new lights in...ill take evening pics tonight..

The tails are definatly being replaced...they suck...and made me puke in my mouth too !
Headlights still have to be ajusted and aimed...but i think ill bring it into a body shop and have them do it for me

At least they dont throw and warning from the obc

angel eyes look good at night. can you turn off your driving light?
why are the turn signals amber still? i thought you put the xenon bulbs in?

MV325IS
10-30-2005, 10:31 AM
Yup you i can have them on or off...no extra switches installed everything plugeged into the origanal sockets... i had to cut into the wireing to hook up the angel eyes.

Turn signal bulbs are transparent so you cant see the bulb behind the clear corners...but when there powered the glow orange...when they blink there very bright orange...( DOT complient)

i had my doubts about the headlights, as ive seen them a million times b4 on ebay and didnt think theyd look good, but they arent bad at all, a but too much chrome and a bit to shiny but other then that looks sweet. My only negative comments to you were just the tails and how much you spent on bulbs, but other then them you did good!

YA i know i spent to much on bulbs :( oh well...
Tails are going...so...they'll be for sale real cheap...lol

just resell them on ebay, you might even be able to get back the full amount, then put them towards some all smoked tail lights. my car is black too as you can see in my sig, and when i can im getting all smoked tails. complements the car nicely.

Using what ?

BennyL

so explain the headlight story to me. i know nothing about this stuff.

how is it different, in light output, than the stock headlights?

how much did they cost you?

how complicated was the installation?

is there one that looks the same in the front, but with less shiny corners?

MV325IS
11-01-2005, 07:48 PM
Install was a breeze...it was plug in play...the only extra wireing i had to do was to tie into the marker lights to wire the angel eyes up.
As for output...well to be honest i really dont know...i bought what i thought was good...seems i may have paid to much for the bulbs but they are bright thats for sure..
Seems to be alot of discussion out there of whats good and what isn't...in my opinion it personal preferance...im happy with what i have...and to me thats what counts.

Not sure about the fit yet...i still have to try to get them to match the body lines a little better before i can answer that question... i still havent aimed them yet either.
