5valves per cylinder.

5valves per cylinder.

based on what you said, the car has a 6.4 engine

based on what M_powered said seems right, 4v x 8 cyl = 32v

Is everyone here stupid, if it was 5 valves PER cylinder, than, acording to basic math.... its simple multiplication

5(valves per cylinder) X 6(number of cylinders) = 30 Vavles in total!
Its not that hard... in order for it to have 32V total, its either a V8 with 4valves per cyl. or its a V16 with 2 valves each!!

For all you guys know it could be a 4 cyl. With 8 valves per cyl.!

Soldo: thats exactly what im wondering...but based on what was said i did 32v/5v per cyl = 6.4 cyl which doesnt make sense cuz you cant have 4/10ths of a cylinder...if the car is a 32v which means it has to be a 32v V8

or what your saying a 5 valve v6 which also makes sense

4cyl with 8 valves per cyl...not likely so thats a no go...

from Here (http://www.hispanianews.com/archive/2003/07/03/14.htm)

the new vr6 motors are 5 valve per cylinder...v6 with 5 valves per cylinder

hahahahahahahaha, wait, you got it all messed up, the NUMBER OF VALVES PER CYLINDER does not effect the DISPLACEMENT of the engine!

Meaning weather its a 6.4L or a 19.234L it doesn't matter!
Basically if its a 32v then it is MORE THAN LIKELY a V8, or a 16cyl with 2 valves each. Its shouldn't be too complicated! hehehe

If the new VR6 motor is a 5Valve, like most if not all audi's, then you just multiply 5 by the number of cylinders, (6 cyl means its a 30V and 4 cyl makes it a 20V)

Hope this finally puts this argument to an end!

Not at all caus you got it all wrong! He is not talking about displacement with the 6.4!!! He is saying 6 cylinders and 4/10th...6.4x5=32! lol...ROFL

WOW.... now i feel just as dumb as the rest.... i saw 6.4, and that just didn't sound like anything BUT displacement!
i get it now!
