Looked like the weather was going to hold out for the trip to Cayuga this morning, but alas, the Weather gods had their final say.... :(
Half way there, she started to rain, so I scooted back home.

As I pulled into my driveway, I noticed the conditions were right for some pics, now that the car's mods I had planned for this year are done. (Rims, tires, rotors & rear painted). Got a few other mods lined up, but that's for next year.

Out came my digi cam, and snapped a few.

Think they came out quite well, so thought I'd share.

Let me know what you guy's think, yay or nay with the overall look.

Why is it that your vette has such an AGRESSIVE side profile to it..... did you do anythnig to the sides, like a skirt or something?

Street's Ashton Cres.
Mind you, all the streets around here look the same.... :D

If you look closely, I have an aftermarket side splitter. Look at the bottom of the car, right underneith the door. I've had several people mention to me that the side looks different, but they can't place it. Funny how just a small 2" splitter changes the side profile of the car.

And thanks for all the *th-up* everyone!

Awesome! theres a copper C5 around town here (well at least I've seen him around here a couple times) with a black back. However, he's followed the curved line of the back panel, up along top of the trunk, and the entire back.

Looks great! I love what you did with the black on the rear, those C5-R's are amazing! Ive seen them a few times at Mosport for the American Le Mans series, going into the paddock and seeing them working on them - soo sweet. Ive got a nice big poster of the C5-R on my wall too listing all their wins *th-up* .

test..

Damn that looks nice.....wish it was practical though.

Car's lowered as far as it'll go on the stock bolts, and I'm already scraping the sh*t out of my front end on driveways & speed bumps.

And thanks for all the kind words everyone!

yeah the wheel well's on Vettes are pretty large. I seen a lowered red one on bay street, and that black plastic thing under the front bumper scraped the road when he when over a dip in the road.

anyways, it was just a "test" ;)

Very nice Tony, love that black-ass. I also like the small lip spoiler on the edge of the C6R's back... think that woulda been a nice touch on your car.

I've had a recent opportunity to have a ride in Tony's car with the new engine and must admit the acceleration is earth-moving (esp with those 305mm-wide Nitto 555 tires)... almost like the hand of God is pushing you forward. I counted (in my head) acceleration times from 100km/h to 200km/h (3rd & 4th gears) in 5 seconds! 581rwHP @13% drivetrain friction loss puts engine output around the 650HP mark.. does that sound about right Tony?

Not a Vette man myself, but you can't argue with results. THe car looks great, and from what I read, and hear, it's damn fast too.

Damn, you've taken it faster than I have! :D

Manual Z06's are usually rated at about 17% loss, so it's likely a bit more.
About as 'streetable' as you can make an 'affordable' N/A motor with today's tech.

Thanks Dan. Ya, those are Vince's rims. Finally got them on! They gave me the 'willies' when I saw them on his car several years ago. I was going to buy a set new just like them. Jumped at them when I heard he wanted to sell them.

How'z his Z coming along? Havn't seen him out with it all summer.... *sad*

His Z is coming, he blew up the tranny last he told me, way too much power, but next season him and you are due for a race! *shiner*

Funny how you pegged one of my potential mods for next year.
Birds of a feather..... :D

One of them is the 3/4 inch widened fenders, which are on order.
Not sure about the aftermarket rear. I like the lip, which I'm assuming what you noted. But I'm not sure about the flare down near the bottom....
I guess it would help keep the rear panels clean of tire & road debris, especially at the track.
Pics below show both fenders and rear.

Nice fenders, very discreet. Not feeling that lip on the bottom of the rear section (even though is probably flows nice with your side splitters). Looks like too much of an after-thought.

Exactly my sediments....

I'm going to call ACP and see if they can make a rear w/o the bottom flair.
It's the only point that's keeping me from ordering it also.
