alright this is a stupid question *angel* BUT:

I was talking to a mechanic friend of mine about mods to the car. We were just casually talking, im rather confident that my 328 will remain relativley stock for as long as I own it. But obviously we came down to the four options: super, turbo, engine swap or nitrous. well im not going to swap a new engine in just yet, so i threw that out. super/turbo probably would be a bad idea cause the engine's got 165K+. And nitrous i didn't even consider because i didn't think the bmw engine's could take it. In any case the point is that I was told by him, and since then by other people, that a 2.8 could take a 25-35 shot of nitrous with very little added engine wear. *shiner* (if installed correctly.)

Is this true? is it true of wet and dry kits? IF i were to ever do this (i wont *wave* ) where would you have it installed?

I got a supercharger kit for sale (AA kit) ;)... I would not go nitrous on a BMW unless its direct port... you're mostly going to be spraying into cylinder no. 3 & 4 with very little if nothing going into 1 & 6. Your engine will wear out very quickly that way.

over the long term i suppose i could amass enough money for just about anything, im mostly wondering what my options are.
im not trying to achieve any particular mark, like im not saying i want to keep up with m3's or anything like that. i'd like to get the most out of my car i guess

dont bother with nitrous unless ur going big cause a 25-30 shot u wont even feel, u dont even feel a small kick till at least 125shot

i plan on putting nitroush (75shot) in my 328. I think it can handle it.

I believe somebody on this board had a 65shot in a 318. So i dont know why you guys think that a 2.8 couldn't handle that.

If its an e36 328, you can put M3 cams (e36 3.2L M3), M50 manifold, CAI, Headers, catback exhaust... with that you should be making about 215-220 RWHp. Slightly more than a stock e36 M3 3.2L. PM me about the cams, I've got a set laying around.

im running a 75 on my stang, when i hit it, its not like the fast and furious lol infact they use it all wrong, the best way to run nitrous is spray from the start to the end of the track, not small spurts lol and it dosent make ur wheels spin at 100mph lol

when i hit the 75 shot u can feel the power difference but it dosent throw u back at all

i dont know what the bmw piston is made of but if its forged then u can handle a 100 shot easy

The problem is with the manifold. like I said unless you go direct port, you won't be spraying evenly and you'll end up wrecking your engine. You will not get any spray in #1 and #6 or very little if any at all... Most of it will go into #3 and #4.

silly strait 6's

it could be possible i think if u put the spray nozzle way back like 12" away from the throttle body

Performance driving school. You just got the car, watch how fast you realize it's already too powerful for your skills.

^ I really don't know your skill level; however, I think that's your best response yet. I agree with Mystikal.

keep it stock until you learn to drive it properly through driving schools. They help out immensly. You can have all the power in the world but if you don't know how to handle it properly you'll end up in the ditch very quickly...
