Hey,

I was recently given an E46 M3 trunk lip. I always liked my trunk clean, but what are your thoughts on these pics? Obviously the lip has to be painted and mounted properly...

I actually reallylike it. However I think the M5 one fits a little better.

BTW what colour is your car? I like that colour and i'm thinking about doing mine the same.. Hope you don't mind ;)

Kal is right

Ok - Well let's say that I end up swapping this for an M5 spoiler. Would it look better than stock in your opinion? I'm not sold on it...

Kal - My car has been painted Sparkling Graphite Metallic ('05 E46 Coupes and E90s). Are you serious about painting your car soon? I can put you in touch with the people that painted mine... I'm very happy.

Geoff, I think it was the best mod I put on my E39, I got a carbon fibre piece from Carbonio, and it really finishes off the back end of the car. And I left it unfinished. Go for it!!

m5 lip spoiler fits better... but note that it will hang over the edges of the trunk a bit... will only look weird when you pop the trunk open and the edges are hanging over.. but it fits much nicer.

I have a lip spoiler on my e36 sedan too.

I don't think it suits the car.

Thanks guys... Good pointer on the M5 lip instead! Still not sure if I'm sold yet though...

Looking at the pic of my car reminds me I need to get an exhaust!

With the way that your car looks right now I don't think the spoiler suits the car. It ruins the looks of the nice lines that it has.

no spoiler buddy......car looks so classy and clean without that spoiler. Invest in your exhasut.

IMO the back looks better with out it. It looks a bit odd with the shadowing of the spoiler. The problem with the way you placed it, is that it was not on the edge, so if you place it on the edge it will look better. Anyways heres my (ebay) m3 spoiler, I tried to get it on the edge as close as possible. Hope you
make up your mind about it.
