View Full Version : Rotated tires now steering wheel shakes

I rotated my tires yesterday, now when I'm at about 70-80km my steering wheel starts to shake, never happened before. But slower or faster than that the wheel does not shake. Any reason for this? Can the tires not be put on right or something? Do I need an alignment after a rotate? I wouldn't think so. But let me know what's going on here. thanks.

I have the same problem, I think you need to balance the front wheels. The rims could be bent.

that sounds a lot like a brent rim or a counterweight flew off

or you didn't torque them properly take the wheels off and put em on again

either theres damage to the wheels or tires, or they're out of balance, or worn steering or suspension joints, bushing or components

you need to balance your wheels...
get them all balanced before you assume a bent rim. and even then it could be one bad tire in the front.

I got a better idea. Why don't you get the rebalanced ;)
and while the tires are spinning on the mary-go-round-tire-balancing-machine-thingy. Check to see if you have a wabble from a bent rim/flat spotted tire.
