Ok as many of you know by my vigorous postwhoring over the last 2 days i just bought a car.

it'll be safetied by wed. Do i need an e-test certificate?

it passed on july 29th, 2005. i dont have the certificate from that, but it says on driveclean.ca that it passed. how long are these things valid?

ya but you need the paper since you are transfering ownership.

You could get the ministry to send you another copy, i think it cost $10, but you need to get the previous owner to do that, and its gonna take a few weeks.

Its probably much easier and faster to get the test redone.

and you do need the etest to transfer the ownership.

Someone said something about the test being recorded electronically, and me not needing the slip. that true?

it is only true when you are renewing ur plates, and you took the car to do the etest, bcus ur info gets punched in. Plates, Postal code.

But when you are transfering ownership, you need that paper.
