yeah a lot of people have done this.. a few members on maX too. That conversion above was done really well.

There are some aftermarket kits to do this that come with new fenders and hood too.

anyone else think that it doesnt flow?? i think the e46 front is too curvy for the straight lines of the rest of the e36 body....

i agree with you
i thought about it when i first seen the first pics of the conversion sharon

it depends on the car.. it works if you have a widebody which is curvy as well.

should have done the facelift lights and bumper, and put the logo on the hood, looks weird without it

Makes me think that the e46 headlights would look great on an e38

that one looks weird.
although it kinda looks like it, it's not stock headlights.. or if it is, the projectors behind the lens have been modified.

don't like that.

Yeah I know where you're coming from on that - I think its hard to judge with the hood up. Anyone have one with the hood down?

That one with the hood up... isn't that a regular 740? That's pretty much what mine looked like, I think.

The lines on the hood doesn't go with the front end...

IMO It looks weird, like some1 said e36 is too boxy for an e46 front end.

in the first post they didnt do so well, if you look at the last pic carefully, as well as the darker one thats full body, you can see the weld line, looks like a crease in the hood. i think its a cool idea, ive thought of it my self, but the e36 is too boxy as others have said to really pull off the curves, unless with a nice flowing wide body

^^ i think that might just be the angle of the light, looks like a pretty clean job in the third pic..guess one would have to see it in person, pics can be misleading.

has there ever been a e46 too e36?
that would look...interesting...

If you ask me it's gay. If you like the look of the E46 then buy one. *thmbsdwn* *thmbsdwn*

All these front end conversions are over in europe... I only know of 3 in Ontario.

I still think the e36 Seidl widebody conversion is one of the sexiest conversions ever. I still have a deposit on one. :( .. too bad I never got the convertable. This with a nice engine swap or supercharged is a nice summer ride, and still under 17k to build with with 400+rwhp at the wheels.

But of course, this is wrong... putting e46 body styling on an e36, especially with the new 6 series fender signals. *thmbsdwn*
