I need some new brake pads for my '92 325is, anyone know the best brake pads out there, good ones, for a reasonable price.

Depends what you want: can you handle dust ??? if yes stick to OEM, I can get them for you if you want.

I would recommend the Hawk Hp + if you don't care about brake dust, but want good stopping power.

yeah sorry about that...mostly for street use, I am tuning my car, I'd rather not have the brake dust but stopping power is more important. Ill be visiting the track a couple times a year, but again mostly for street use. I was thinkin of just upgrading to the M3 brakes, rotors etc. is that a big job to do/costly? Ive also heard that the hawk brake pads rattle and squeak from time to time, is this true?

My buddy races BMW's and has tried all types and brands of brakes. He suggested for me to use what he uses. They will outlast the others 3-4 times and won't destroy the rotors. They are a little expensive but it's like buying 3 sets at once.

I checked a set of front rotors on an M3 he has used all season and they were in super shape. *wave*

I got Hawk HPS pads recently.
Better stopping, less dust and no squeeking yet.

can anyone recommend a shop to upgrade my pads and rotors with the hawks?

if you are interested, i have an extra set of OEM M3 rotors off my car (upgraded to M3 x-drilled) and might be upgrading the pads to hawk, so let me know with an offer...im gonna check the pad and rotor life.
