those pictures scare me. only now I noticed the leaves on trees are turning yellow. :(

nice pics, but you can't take a pic of a turbo e36 without pics of the engine bay. :)

How about a engine video :D

http://media.putfile.com/Picture-24279

you really can't see shit though *sad*

the way the m42 is tilted towards the passenger side
& tucked back into the firewall makes it impossible to see
the manifold & turbo unless you're underneath the car

so waht your seeing here is the intake plumping comming from the
intercooler
here you can see the 2 extra injectors from the SDS fuel controller.

Nice car, I like how you don't have clear corners and left the ambers on... Once u sort out your problems it should be a quick car.

We need specs: type of manifold, turbo, max PSI etc. :)

-manifold is custom made
as for types there are none! there are like 2 kits out there for the 318
that the sellers will not sell in pieces; like the mani
so finding a decent shop to make one will be needed....or
they can make more on my spare motor if wanted cost: $950 Canadian

-Turbo garret T28 it's efficient to 20 psi
im using it at about 5.5 6psi that will go up to 8/9

-SDS dual injector controler (need more tuning stuff), walboro fuel pump.

This might seem like a stupid question but I am pretty dumb ;) It looks like you have the older style e36 bumper and I was wondering how you put the mesh in the middle. Did you cut out the plastic 'grill' and put you own in?

Garrett T28... dual ball bearing? ...
perfect turbo for a 318... maybe a bit too small for a 325 though, otherwise I'd be intererested in something similar.

wow thanks for the Advertisment
& perhaps if living in T.O people should do that...
but what about everyone not living near J&R's shop in the rest of canada,
U.S, Uk, etc?

does J&R have premade ready to go mani's for those people?
what does J&R want for their mani's? that they may or may not
sell you seperate..
maybe you should get a J&R shop representitive to reg & post on it
or at least maybe add a link to their web page.

I'll tell you from my own 1st hand experience turboing my 318is
that it was seriously helpful in regards to time & cost for them to make it
on the spare M42 motor i have.
again it is really really tight in the M42 equipped engine bay

i'd envision your motor needing to be pryed out abit to fabricate one
as you'd have to be a sub 5yr old child to fit up in there with the motor
in the bay.
I'd again invision that work not being concluded in a day, try more like a week
without your car....
as your mani won't be their bread & butter & they'll have other projects on the go for sure ;)

again that is my 1st hand experience talking in regards to custom fab & shops

in any regards anyone even remotely serious about undertaking such a project
would be wise to get a quote from a shop that does custom Fi work all the time.

when you do that you might conclude that a premade one at $950CDN
is a steal of a deal *smoke*
as it would allow a proffesional shop to have the rest of your pre-purchased bits installed in like a day or two..
that would include welding of custom piping & such too

Not sure if we are talking about the same thing but the mesh looking thing in the lower opening of his bumper is his intercooler if I am not mistaken. *th-up*

they cut out the "grill" cross pieces & put some black mesh in there
woodscrewed & zip tied on i'd bet (jokes)

yes T28R dual ball sacks :D

I'm a ebay'r which is a polite term for CHEAP @SS MOFO :D

got a great deal on the M3 vader interior, thanks scotch
sub $1G for the wheels, thanks everlast. sub $600 for 17 Z rated nexans.
coils, contrl arms + b joints, tie rods, exhaust...etc...etc
anywho before turbo I was just below $9K

im at about $15K for the car total or i was *mumble*
