its no BMW nor like some of the big bucks project some of you guys have, but its something that makes me happy, I'd love to spend way more money, but oh well, I'll spare you guys the stories but tell me what you think, tips/suggestions, I'm probally going to ImportFest with this car, and there are some more mods waiting to go on and please share your opinions either good or bad for this car to be in a general show, don't want to win any award for now, but would really like to take the build slightly toward the show/performance direction in the future. And no, the car is slow as hell, the stock ECU is mess'd up, I don't even think it's in 14s, need to install my EMS this fall. And if you could keep your suggestions/opinions constructive, that'll be really appreciated.

here's a quick list (some of the mods have been there from previous years)

3" turbo back w/magna flow shiznit
Intake heatshield
TurboXS boost controller
TurboXS Type H-RFL BOV
16G/12B turbo with pre-90 ported manifold

Koni yellows
MVP coilovers w/Eibach springs
EST front sway bar end links
Kiri's rear adjsutable panhard rod
IPD rear sway bar

Exterior: Sylverstar gh3y ricer bulbs
Hova clear tails
stock SE bodykit
Dave Barton's Prancing moose stickers.
side markers.
1QWIKBOX Swedish plate.

KVR black-coated slotted discs all around
KVR carbon pads all around
EST braided lines all around
ATE blue stuff in the thingy
H&R 20mm spacers with extended studs
Hamman PG2 reps with Pirelli P-zero rosso 225/35/18 front, Ventus (sp?) something same size at back. (the wheels I just put them on yesterday, after spending 3hrs with a friend helping me out to install the longer studs)

stock casette, plan to keep that way

Those Volvo's are bloody sick man. Wish my dad had one instead of his boring slow ass 940.

08-17-2005, 10:26 AM
I've seen some pretty bad ass Volvo's and Saab's running some sick sick sick times (10's, 11's) in Sweeden. Thumbs up for being different!

thanks for the kind words, more stuff to come, I did a measurement and I found I have about 15.4" of clearance, can you say HUUUUGE brake kit?

anyways, me and Eric Sack (I dunno his username on here) and thanks to him for letting me use his SLR camera, we took some pix, he knows how to take pix a lot better than I do.

nope, same as Ferrari and some fwd Fords.

I miss my volvo soo much, my mom's old 850. They are so solid. That is one of the nicest older volvo's out there though

Bought a set of 18x8 R (known as Pegausus) wheels, it was off a S60R from a family friend.

08-26-2005, 10:19 PM
OMG, those are gonna look sick!!!!

08-27-2005, 08:28 PM
actually the Pegs won't look as good, I'm going to use 'em for mostly auto-x and a-like, I've seen 'em on other 700s before, looks ooook, I still think my Hammans look better, but I wish the Hammans are as light as the pegs.

love the car, but if those are ferrari badges under the mirriors :S

love the car, but if those are ferrari badges under the mirriors :S

they are Volvo badges, long story short, Volvo has this "Moose Test" which every car they make have to pass, it's been around for many decades, in the 80's, one of the engineers made a "Prancing Moose" sticker for fun and put it up on his car. It never caught up, years passed by, in 2004, same dude who made the sticker is working for Volvo Concept Dept. And they made a Supercharged V8 XC90 as a concept, and he put those stickers on again, then it kinda took off, you can buy those badge/stickers from IPD. I got 'em for shits and giggles, some people have a great laugh when they see it. I'd love to see how Ferrari owners react to it, perhaps they'll sue my ass off???
