Why not consult with those dudes that import/export bmws and euro cars as a BUSINESS!

i forget their website but i think its been posted here countless times....they often have E30 M3s for sale from Europe....maybe they could bring a CSL here...or at least tell u why it's impossible.

AMG_POWER

but i bet they bring those E30 as a Antique cars same as they bring this old Skylines.

I dont think fidning one is such a problem.... I think bringing it over the border and registering it would be pain in the ArSe.

Would be neat to get one here, but by the time you pay all the duty, taxes, shipping, and all the logistics, it's gonna be one serious rectal violation!

Your better off getting a Porsche GT3 IMO!

^^ it wont be as rare lol but I agree Gt3 is not that bad too :) Havnt seen them for sale lately tho.

its will still holds it value for being a rare car in N/A.

GT3's are made in limited quantities, so their difficult to find used.
And if you do find one, you have to be careful as many of them have been driven hard at the tracks.

New, last I heard, about a 6 to 12 month wait.

Which would also make parts for the car cost a small fortune.

It's all neat and dandy to own a rare car as such, but many people forget that they are very expensive and difficult to maintain, unless your going to delegate it as a Garage Queen.

I'd be suprised if you could get that car to your garage at under 150G's..... *shiner*

And that's if you could get it past Customs.

Those cars aren't sold in N/A for a few reasons, which would inevitably cause you grief to get it in here.

With that coin, like I said above, get the GT3. It is a superior car.

Doesn't Canadian government have something like importing exotics under Show Room condition meaning it is there for you show room cuz you collect cars? After that why not just find out what it might need to be done to the car to get it road legal. But then again insurance and maintanance will be a pain in the ass =P Go for the TT and make it 600HP +

Um, why? Throw in an NA-spec cat, it should pass like any other M3. Unless I'm missing something here...

I think it would probably pass in EURO spec too :/ Aren't euro standards stricter than canadian?

^^^ No BMW holds a candle to GT3. Hell, I'd pick a GT3 over a tuned Turbo *love*

Well, from what I remember from the E46 M3 intro, the reason the European spec cars made 5hp more (343hp DIN vs. 333hp SAE) was that the North American cars required slightly more restrictive emissions equipment.

when i asked that same question to the gm at my bmw dealer (the one my wife works at)his answer to me was you could but it would cost alot of money!I guess you request a euro pick up and they would ship it over then.Dollar for dollar you could get a lot more with the 996tt but with the csl you would definetly be one of only a few owners of this amazing machine.

Guys you can bring any car you want, it won't even cost you THAT much if you do it yourself, you will just have to import it into the States then into canada.
