I've got a 98' 328is.

Anyone who knows about engine software for their E36, should be able to comment on this one.

Jim Conforti Shark Injector ODB2 software upgrade:

-gains claimed: i'm not sure
-you get to keep the programmer
-$494

VS...

Mark D'silva ODB2 software upgrade

-claims 14-18hp for 91 octane
-he performs the upgrade but you are not given any type of programmer incase you want to downgrade later.
-$525

Who has experience to comment on this battle?

You should ask MarkD about that..........

Ive had both softwares and spent a lot of time with Mark tuning my previous car.

I dont know if that claim is right... 14 bhp-18bhp... seems a little high and no matter what any tuner says, that is a high prediction.

I like my conforti which I am running now since I do have the injector but in my opinion..... Marks software was better it seemed.... much more thorttle response. HIs software works.

Keep in mind, Im basing my opinion on an M3 not a 328 so I dont know how it would work for your car

I just want to clarify, those gains are on 94 octane. Sorry if I told you it was on 91, it woiuld be closer to 10hp on the lower octane. There are at least 4 Max members who have the 328i software, including Rico328i. You can find his posts if you perform a search.
I just searched, here is the link: http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39856

And here is one from someone else: http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43884

Also, that was a price based on me being able to load your car with software I already have.

Hi, Mark. Did you get my e-mail regarding S38 block?

Yes I did, sorry I was so busy I didn't respond. My friend is going to buy a complete motor from someone else I know, it will be a bit cheaper than just getting a block and then finding pistons for it also.
