I think the guy's name @ thornhill tints is Richard. I think they do tints for dealerships as well, so hopefully the quality is there. Wouldn't mind paying $20-$30 more to get proper work done.

I've called a couple of places today. Some of them need me to tell them wat kind of films, so the price varies...

BUt approximately, here it is

Phenix- we are looking at 225-300 (type of films)
Thornhill Tints- original 250, if 6 cars, 230 each (4 drs)
Ziebart- 200 each
Pro Auto- original 240, if 4 cars, 200 each
FX tints- original 250 each, depends on the type of tints.

Iwill probably head down to the places somewhen this week. But which type of films should i ask for?

Stay away from fx tints - B U T C H E R S as they were tinting my buddys stang(just picked it up-brand new) these guys managed to scratch the trunk lid so bad the trunk lid hid to get repainted, and they wouldnt pay for it, on top of that they did a poor job of tinting it.

Pro Auto Tint uses Lumar film and it is great....I had a car tinted by them several years ago and my friend just had his M3 done last weekend....the M3 looks awesome @ 35% tint.

I recommend Pro Auto Tint *th-up*

Depends what tint brand is being applied. If you went to thornhill tints, they use a tint called SUNGARD. THese are not metallic tints. They are still dyed i believe (correct me if im wrong). But even tho theyre dyed, it's guaranteed to never fade.
Metallic tints "can" affect your electronics like radio and autostarters and keyless entries. Mostly in higher end cars tho like MBs and bmws.

I just got tinted 35% all around on mine this weekend. Went to Lazer Tints by Colossus. Got the FormulaOne ceramics (pinnacle series). Look pretty good and it comes with a lifetime warranty that works at any FormulaOne dealer.

Lazer Tints
$245 for premium coupe/sedan
$265 for ceramics coupe/sedan

So did any group purchase occur yet or what?

I am going to be getting the windows tinted on my '92 Mustang Coupe... if there's a group buy going on next week, I'm in - otherwise I'll prob. be stopping by FX Auto (I'm in Markham).
