Nice car!

You guys are pretty talented. Congrats on a job well done.

I was wondering how much does a project like this cost, since you mostly did it yourselves?

Thanks! You can build a car like this for under $5000...including the price of the car! Thats if you have to buy everything...for me it was like $500...I had the skirts ($1175) rims ($1500) recaros ($500) and all the small parts I needed...

The rims alone were about $1100 (at Tire World, BAD place for business!!!!) and I was LUCKY to find used (3 weeks) YOKOHAMAS for $350! I was going to put OBX coil overs, but couldnt get them on time:mad: so I just cut the springs (I know its BAD but no other choice!)...but JUST LOVE THE SLAMED LOOK:D

Its not that BAD...I have friends that have done it years ago (if you remember Isaac with the silve E30 at school) and they had no problems with it! Some of my street cars had cut springs for some time and I had NO problems... You can just cut a bit so it doesnt look like a 4x4 anymore!!! If you go TOO LOW then the car will be bouncy and the spring MIGHT break...

What the majority of e3s thinks... (http://www.e30sport.net/viewtopic.php?t=2129) (Keep in mind, jordan can be an ass... he's our resident dink, but we have to put up with him).... HI JORDAN *wave* :P

it is funny a guy with a completely stock car can cut down a car with work done. Envy is a bitch....I like the kit ...less the molded front lip spoiler.Good work.

Ouch!!!

those comments are quite harsh.....
it's to each's own.... if u don't like it well too bad....
lots of other people like the kit....
and i personally think it looks very good...
 :moon:

HA HA HA!!!! Thats funny!!!
If I didnt know how many people over the wold like the kit I would be offended!!! But when I get E-mails from Ausralia, South America and Europe, from pepole inquiring about the kit, it shows its not "that" bad!
So what? Too low and big rims whent out of fashion!!! Let me jack it up to 4x4 hight and put some 13's on!!!:DMaybe then the rednecks would like it!:huh?:

Jase
12-18-2002, 02:16 PM
Most of them must be jealous they don't have any talent to make anything themselves. So they want to justify to themselves and everyone else why they paid as much as 3 times more for similar kits. I think th comments are harsh...To each their own. *no-no*

well i guess that just goes to show you that even a guy with a stock eta like mine would rather have his own car than that thing, huh? i'm not tryin to flame the thing.. none of us are... YOU guys were the ones that asked for opinions, we gave them... we're not tryin to start anything, so it's your problem if you get your panties in a knot over it

If you guys wre not trying to flame it than you might have made a few less harsh comments. A simple you didn't like it would be sufficient, and whyyou don't like maybe..... Insted on that forum it almost came to name calling. So they didn't sound much like opinions more like comments engineered to get a poor response for the owner or members of Max
Just my opinion:confused:

yeah, so one kid has em on one of his cars... i hate the chrome wheel arches as well, but please, it's his friggin parts car, the thing rarely even leaves his property, so who cares about that? i know he sure as hell doesn't. at least he knows when somethin looks dumb

anyway, the thing's obviously not my style and i'm glad my car's stock (even my diving boards) and doesn't look like that ...

but on a positive note, i thought i'd seroiusly say, mad props to you for taking the time & effort to make own kit that catches interest from some people, i hope you make some money off it and design one some day that'll fit more people's tastes... uhh, like us "rednecks" *thmbsdwn* ppffft

yeah, guys like Jordan are dinks... which is why i said that when i linked to the post at e3s... he's not exactly concerned w/ what people think of him... but there was alot of pointing out what we didnt like if you actually read what we said

EDIT:... hell, i'll even spell out my opinion again over here... the rear looks like it's sittin closer to the ground like a dog scratchin his ass on the ground, the rear bumper looks like swiss cheese w/ those huge vents, and the exhaust looks like a pair of cannons, especially on an eta...

i agree w/ what jordan said... IF YOU READ HIS POST... i'd rather concentrate on performance mods first than that much of an asthetics mod

Maybe thats true, but there is a difference of style between the 2 countries.. i can swing either way. Notice that I didn't bash the kit.. I was actually (still am) considering it. But still nothing in my opinion lives up to the mtech.

I'm with you on this one Dave! It sounds like we Canadians dont know what we are talking about and our opinions dont matter! This year alone there were 3 cars on the cover of PBMW form the Toronto area, so people here must be doing something right.
