I was just wondering if anyone has install a MZ3 shifter in a e36 96+. Difficulty? Do you have to drop the drive shaft? What else did you replace other then the shifter itself?

Second Q.

Is it possible to element the fog lights turning off as soon as you switch to high beam? Could you replace and rewire something to get it to work?

Thanx

I have a ZM3 shifter in my 97 328. It's not to hard to do, although you're sorta working blind while under the car, but the driveshaft doesn't need to be removed.

While picking up a shifter lever, get a new plastic pivot cup, and all new clips and washers.

Also, check up www.understeer.com if you haven't yet for a full write up. Those are the directions I followed.
