HELP - Stuck in Manual Mode!

Hey Guys,
I put my E34 into Manual Mode but I think was bad b/c it's stuck in manual now ....does anyone know how to out it back into E mode again? I tried to disconnect the battery for an hour but this did not work....

Marven, weren't you having problems with your tranny before? I have a feeling it might be your tranny going.

No its not the tranny - as soon as I used the switch - I changed to manual and it doesnt go back...
