Okay this is really weird. I just went looking through my stack of Car&Driver's (from ~88-on) yesterday for this issue, to read that article again. I found the "Under-$30,000" issue, where the 318Ti takes a close second to the Prelude SH though.

If anybody has the actual magazine that was in and they'll like to sell it ... I'll buy it if its good condition ... I love that article ... that came out after the "under 30k" article
