I know this is a younger board (a lot of highschoolers) so there probably aren't many Bmw moto owners, but I figured I'd try....

Looking at buying an F650 Gs *wiggle* If anybody on here owns one I would like to hear more about it.

A 650 probably going to be my next bike...the one thing I don't really like about it is that it sounds exactly like my old scooter...

Some of my very first experiences travelling at high rates of speed was on the back of my dad's 1979 BMW R100RS Boxer. He'd strap me to the rear seat with a belt and go riding for the day. Here's a pic of the bike...

that "Oil Head" is the Rockster...wicked bike.
>>>>EMPOWERED....yer old man's a class act...nice RS. I'm lookin for an old R90S in Daytona Orange...might hafta repaint a 100. My brother has about 6 BMW boxers and K bikes for sail. No F bikes though.
Is the F engine a BMW engine or borrowed technology from like KTM or Cagiva? Just wondered if anyone knew.
PM me if anyone is interested in what my brother might have available right now.

As a matter of fact there is... GOING ON RIGHT NOW THIS WEEKEND! It's the '05 Toronto Spring Bike show at the International Center in Malton (Airport Rd & Derry)... free parking. They always have cheap specials, esp on Sunday afternoon when you can barter the price lower before closing. Here's their link:

FINALLY, a good looking BMW bike...(or Beemer as one member so anxiously corrected me on). I've always thought BMW made the ugliest looking bikes (except for their rims)...their bikes are always ferring-short and look like their put-together half-assed...just my opinion tho. But this blue bike LOOKS FREAKIN' HOT!

167 hp...WHAT...that's as much as a stock 325 (e30/36), with about 2000 lbs less weight...see ya *wave*

p.s. - the yellow bike is even hotter than the blue...these must be very late model bikes...nice to see some aggressive stylin'....giddy-up!

i am looking into a similar bike, hopefully make a purchase in 2 years from now

the one thing i like about the bmw biks, I know some other manufactures do it as well, is how the rear wheel is held by only one arm and not two ( i dont know the real word for it)

regardless it looks so pimp.
the picture of that super bike above is sweet.

^^^^^ You are thinking of a Single Sided swing arm. Not found on all bmws, but most of the newer ones have it

Some nice photos posted up there :)

As for the guy who just got his M1 - Take the Ontario Safety council course (forget the rest). It is very well done, fun, and will pay for itself in insurance savings the first year. And if you want the best deals on gear, go try it on in local stores, and then order it online /ebay - wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy cheaper.
