i was gonna get an alarm on a 2001 330 ci what do u guys recomend and also what places do u recomend to go get one at i dont wanna go somewere that doesnt know what they are doin and is gonna screw up the wiriing .. does anyone have the viper pager alarm and what do you think about that one ?
Normally I would say that any reputable aftermarket device would do but here I think you may want the original BMW factory alarm system with the motion sensor and everything. There is a range of things already wired in the car and they can be activated by the dealer. It is a very good system.
Buy the kit from the dealer or supplier (http://bavauto.com/shop.asp), then go to this DIY page and install it yourself (or with your buddy).
I got mine at the dealer and got them to install it too and it cost a lot. If I knew how easy it was, I would have done it myself. Keep in mind, the dealer will have to activate the alarm and the key functions. He may charge a bit for it.

I have the Viper 791X Responder Unit on my 2002 330Ci it has all most all the toys. it took the shop long to install, but they did not mess anything up. They have done a few BMW's so they know what that are doing. AVU in Brampton.
