Okay I can't think of a proper subject since it's so late, but I'll go on with the story.

My cousin came over to give me a lift in his new E46 M3 Phoenix Yellow.

A bit later, he let me test drive his car. I'm still a newbie to driving a manual so I didn't do anything crazy, which I wouldn't anyways cause he would kick my butt :P I drove around my residential area. Anyways, getting to the point...
I just exited this 90degree left turn on a residential street around 12am, and then I was on 2nd gear around 2300rpm. I gased it a bit more to feel the power since there was a mini straight. So i brought it up to about 4000-4500rpm? That's about 60km/h?? All of a sudden, as i pear up the road where the intersection was, I saw a cop car parked in the middle of that 4-way stop intersection. I panic and hit the brakes for a second and let the car coast. As I approached the cruiser, he flashed his lights at me. He pulled alongside the car and peered at us. My heart beat was racing because I never got stopped by the cops before. First thing was he asked where I live and where my cousin lives. Then he took our driver's license and backed the cruiser away. My cousin told me to calm down since I was freaking a bit, LOL. The cop car comes back and returns our driver's license. After a 10second pause, he told us that there was a break-in on the street i was driving and then he told that we could go our own way.

Man, that was a heart shaker LOL. Anyways I found it strange how the cops stopped us and let us off, telling us about a break-in. He probably thought we stole the M3, since that street has rich ppl. living on it LOL. That was the only time I opened up the car on the residential street. The whole time I wasn't speeding.

Yes, just wanted to share a STRANGE encounterment with the cops.

HAHAHHAAA i can relate but it cuz the cop was an asshole...it was like bootcamp in ur own car! seriously...these cops need to take anger management..(along with some ppl on the board). plus i was asked for id, checked for drugs...it was so fustrating..i got the cops name and badge #...and gave a complaint! and we only got pulled over cuz my friend has the blue bulbs in the corners other than that his cars totally stock exterior wise...

that sounds like normal procedure
they're looking for the people escaping from the scene of the crime in ANY car that was driving down in that area i bet.
At least you didn't have an encounter like i did
i was walking with a girl up this one forested path near my house, and then all of a sudden i hear "FREEZE!". I look and there are 4 cops pointing guns at me approaching me with caution.
I was so freaked the hell out i almost pissed my pants!
They then backed down and told me to proceed, just that they were looking for two black males who had just robbed some house in the area and ran through that way supposedly.
I honestly thought i was going to get shot by one of those trigger happy cops.
Man i love living in scarborough hehehehh

That is some really messed up shit ;( you hear all kind of that stuff happening out there, not too much lately but just wait till school is back in.

You should invest in bullet proofing your car ;)

Atleast you were ok and those losers went to jail for it!
