For you E46 drivers with synthetic oil, how often do you get a oil change? Do you go by the in car computer that says you have this many kms before needing a oil change?
When I bought my car, it just had a oil change so it was 25,000 km or so before next oil change. I don't drive much, around 10,000 or so km a year. So at this rate, I won't need a oil change per the computer for 2.5 years! I doubt this is good for the car, or is it ok? When should I take it in?
I heard a oil change at the dealership is around $125 to $150? Usually how much extra "maintenance" work do they tack on? What's my expected bill?
I've got no interest in changing my own oil so please don't flame me.
