Car sounds great!!! As far as looks goes, I'd just paint or replace the black side skirts and bumbers and update the rims (doesn't have to be flashy, even newer OEMs would do).

Nice.

A debaffled stock airbox can sound pretty decent. Check out the first Maxbimmer auto-x video, you can hear my car, it has the stock airbox and paper filter, but debaffled.

thanks.. I actually love the Black trim..!

Really want to have that Rock guard Compounded off..
But the D-side lower fender is rusty & a few little spots here there
that will need attention sooner then later!

any specific compound takes off the gray stuff easily?

well you'd need power buffer & whatver cutting compound you choose..
but somehow I think it would be easier to have it sanded prepped & painted
to match the body..

I'm sure you could go to hard with the buffer & cook it *thmbsdwn*
+ it would take 4ever

just remembering taking off the cracked side skirts on my V-dub
& hand rubbing off all the GLue with kerosene, then buffing the rockers
nice... Labor!!

Yeah, I have to fix some rust on them, and I'm putting sideskirts over them. So I wanted a quick fast way to get to the metal. :)

you probably want a grinding disk on a drill then *th-up*

I had read a write up about removing the rock guard paint
appearantly the cars were painted 1 color then the grey *sad*
rock guard was sprayed over the factory paint..

a few spots on my rockers it has faded through showing the
original paint !!
