Selling my project Cabrio:
1988 E30 Cabrio 325i/5-speed
265,000km
Delphin Metallic
Black Interior
A/C & Power Windows/locks/mirrors

Recent work: (Performed by CP Racing)
All belts
All brakes
Full exhaust
Full driveshaft service

Comes certified & e-tested.

What it still needs:
A VERY VERY GOOD CLEANING
I recommend PAINT, but to some people it may be acceptable (faded, some scratches, minimal rust). I was quoted $1,300 for a complete paintjob and cleanup. I am SURE others can find the work for less.

I have already put the money into this car to get it up to spec. Take advantage while you can!

Unfortunately, NO CURRENT PICS HANDY.

$5,000 OBO.

Send me an email, MSN Msg, call, or PM me.

Thanks. It's a wicked little car, but unfortunately for me I simply do NOT have the room for this car.

It's BEST OFFER. As many of you know me, I've got NO PROBLEMS helping out some of you in regards to pricing, or lay away type deals.

Zimmie - where are you on this one??? *wave*

This is ALL I have right now. This is shortly after the car was delivered to me.

I FORGOT TO ADD IT NEEDS A ROOF! The ragtop is not in great shape IMO - it has been patched etc... Looks ugly to me. $500USD gets you a BRAND NEW top from Robbins. I have purchased Robbins' tops for my miata (german cloth style) and was VERY happy with the quality and fit. 100% IMO, and I'm VERY picky.

Oh yes, this car comes with a *complete* E30 factory service manual. This is a duplication of an ACTUAL BMW factory manual for all E30's. It took my admin assistant 6 hours to insert each page into a plastic protective cover and put them in a series of binders divided by relative chapters. :D

I hope that gives you a bit of an idea. (Straight, very minimal rust, no damage)

Well, I already did all the HARD work to the car... it would be a SIN to let this car go to some schmo who will just ruin it.

I'm selling at a VERY reasonable price (I'm not looking to make big bucks on this) - I think after everything I have put in, I will probably profit around $500 if even that.

Don't delay!

Hahaha! :D

The car has some serious potential. I was planning to paint it and make it look SIMILAR to this:
http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=36212&stc=1

Imagine cruising in that as a droptop, add some BOOST to the mix and you're laughing...

Oh nice. Delphin Grey, 88 (which means newer bumper conversion available), black interior, ellipsoids.

Is it power top or manual? If manual wanna trade with my '89is 5spd 190K?

1BADRIDE
02-24-2005, 01:24 PM
JOHN - It's a manual top. The power tops are very very prone to failure.

YES I would be interested in considering a trade for a hardtop E30.

Can you PM me pics?

FYI, its different for cabrios, its not like an 88 hardtop, the body is still like a 87 or older hardtop e30. Plastic bumper conversion still possible, just a bit harder.

Not trying to ruin ur trade or anything, just wanted to clear that up though. An awesome cabrio, its gonna make a perfect project car *th-up*

I know what you mean, but I already had a few people look at it and tell me that the plastic bumper conversion was NP on my car. Also, I was planning to go with some form (dupe or not) of MTECH II kit. It is the ONLY kit that suits this car IMO.

No I agree definately, all Im saying is that the swap isnt as easy as on non-cabrio '88 e30, which is what I think he had in mind when he said that it would be easy to swap to newer style bumpers. Still definately do-able and it would look great, or an MTech kit for that matter.

1BADRIDE
02-24-2005, 02:54 PM
Yup. He said that if I had got an '87, it would have been a LOT of work to do the conversion.

It's too bad I can't keep the car. I was hoping to make this a street/track car, but my group will not allow convertibles at all. :(

C'est la vie.

So who's gonna buy this ride?

How much for the HT in case I decide to keep this car? I saw it today... TOO MUCH POTENTIAL.

That means I'll have to turn my stang into the street/track car instead of this one...

Someone BUY THIS CAR! :D

Where is your friend located, and do you have his contact info? I'd be reluctant to spend over $500 for it. If he's willing to take $500 (I'm firm on that price) then please ask him to contact me.

Damn, I guess I might end up keeping the car after all.

I'll probably take it then.

Give me a couple of days to reconsider keeping my car.

Wait a couple more months... The white stuff outside makes it hard for people to imagine "open air cruising" ;)

When the weather gets better, you'll get $5K easy. Good luck with the sale, Rahul *th-up*

^^ What he said...You'll easily get $5K+ in the spring...Get it detailed, fix anything major and you're good to go. Looks like a solid foundation, and the colour is rare for the cabrios (especially in a 5sp). I'm gonna be sellin' mine then as well. Could use the cash now, but by waiting 'til end of April, I'll likely get an extra grand+

1BADRIDE
02-26-2005, 10:45 AM
It's not a cash issue for me. It's a SPACE issue. All the major stuff is already done. I don't even care for the color - I'm switching it to some flavour of BLACK.

Ah well, if it doesn't go say in a week, I'lll just keep it.
