I know it ain't BMW related, but what the heck:

Building a cheapo system for the dad (yes, that'd be Daddy's Dad). Looking for a Socket 478 CPU (if it came with a fan, bonus!). Low end stuff like a Celeron would be perfectly fine.

PM me if you wanna get rid of your old CPU.

You're asking the wrong person, buddy. I just learned what 478 meant this afternoon.

All I know is if you told me it was a Socket 478, I would have bought it from you. And then I would've hunted you down and *uzi* you when it wouldn't have fit...

Thanks, t.dot.

Will likely go with the low end Celeron from CC if nothing used pans out.

Bought a bare bones system from Tigerdirect for $89! (after rebates of course). I'm gonna throw in some leftover ram, 40gig HD, 32mb vidcard I got here after all my FutureShop x-mas upgrades, and I hope to have something cheap and usable for the Dad.
